Afternoon all,

There's a new FiD podcast out today featuring homegrown Wrexham hero Neil Roberts, who spoke about his rise from youth system starlet to earning a £440k move to Wigan.

Neil also opened up about his second spell at Wrexham and the impact the club's relegation from the Football League and his subsequent departure had on his mental health.

The FiD lads also mulled over a much-improved week on the pitch for Wrexham with six points from six and eleven goals on the road.

Really good listen. I always rated Neil and Stephen very highly. Was quite sad to hear him talking about those dark days which I remember well. Hopefully now brighter days are ahead!

Sounds a lovely bloke, didn't go into enough detail on anything for me. At one point he said "I won't go into l that now" in relation to behind the scenes stuff. I wish he did.

A number of years ago , he turned up at a private Christmas party the Tranmere rovers players had put on for themselves at a club in Liverpool I was involved with.
I got speaking with him and he couldn’t believe I was a wrexham fan brought them all over to introduce them to me. A top guy
