Default JPs Goals for Wrexham

Really pleased with the way JP is taking his opportunity in the team, he deserves it for his hard work during each game.

Nice video clip of all his goals for us, and some cracking goals in there https://twitter.com/wrexham_afc/stat...138614789?s=21

Someone suggested the other day that neither Angus nor JP were natural.goascorers. I've always felt that Ponticelli was, and his youth record suggests he is .

Hes a decent player at this level, whether he's good enough for where we are aiming to be is another question. Im pleased he's getting some games and scoring goals though.

Whenever fit with a run of games he's shown he can score in the air, poach and from distance.. No doubt he's a tidy and quality striker at this level.

If he's stays injury free (big if) I think he's a 15 goal a season striker and right now he's challenging Hydes spot upfront when he's back.. Sadly he lacks the hold up play of Hyde and hasn't proven to be an effective impact sub which may well be his undoing..

I think it was me English who suggested they are not natural goalscorers I just look at Ponticelli and think he is a slower version of James gray but would love to be proved wrong.Talking about youth records Mr Massanka had a fantastic goalscoring record at Youth level but his finishing for Wrexham was pretty pathetic(ok he did score an overhead kickand signed a good autograph so we are told)

His few goals takes 2 minutes but how long would a video of his offsides be?

All goals scored with his right instep or headed back in direction of the cross. Needs to diversify that to become a more complete striker (use left foot, laces or outside of right) but he’s good at what he does. If marking keep him on his left side and you take him out the game.

Its probably a fair comment given his goal return (and I do agree with you as far as Angus is concerned) but I've always hoped that he had more about him given the rave reviews after his initial break through at Coventry, and his first handful of performances when he was here on loan. Its early days but I really hope you are wrong as well!

As for Massanka, God that lad was hopeless. Youth football was clearly his level!
