Default New Ticketing Policy

Wrexham AFC would like to thank North Wales Police and all supporters who have assisted in our efforts to identify anybody engaged in unacceptable behaviour at our most recent home game.

We are pleased to confirm we only have one further attendee to identify and banning orders have been issued – while we have also revoked season tickets where necessary.

As a Club, we continue to reiterate that this behaviour will never be tolerated at the Racecourse Ground and we are pleased to have been able to take swift and decisive action against the individuals who tarnished the Club’s name.

Moving forward, we have made some amendments to our seating policy at the Racecourse Ground, which we would like to share with all supporters.

For matches where opposition support is more than can be accommodated in the lower tier of the Wrexham Lager Stand – for example, Saturday’s fixture against Wealdstone – we will operate as follows:

Both tiers of the Wrexham Lager Stand, between blocks 1-3, to be allocated to the away team as standard
Block U7 of the WREXRENT Stand to be open to season ticket holders only
Block L6 of the WREXRENT Stand to remain shut unless otherwise stated
For matches where opposition supporters can be accommodated in the lower tier of the Wrexham Lager Stand only, as per the fixture against Torquay, and forthcoming matches against Bromley and Yeovil Town:

Home tickets to be sold in the Yale Stand upper tier, blocks Y1-Y3, to members only
Block U7 of the WREXRENT Stand to be shut, and any season ticket holders relocated
Block L6 of the WREXRENT Stand to remain shut.
Block U7 will also be closed for matches where the fixture is categorised for having the potential for disorder to occur.

Season ticket holders in Block U7 of the WREXRENT Stand have been emailed, and offered the chance to move to a different permanent seat for the remainder of the season. There is no suggestion that any remaining season ticket holders in this block were responsible for any of the incidents against Torquay.

Given our recent fantastic attendances at the Racecourse Ground, we are keen to ensure we can welcome as many supporters as possible to each game, and this approach allows us to do that – but this is only possible if ALL attendees behave appropriately.

The new arrangements already mean a reduction in capacity compared to the match against Torquay United and we ask all supporters to help ensure we do not need to reduce this further.

Thank you once again to all who have supported us so well so far this season.

So a few idiots have bollocksed it for everybody else. We will have people unable to watch Wrexham with blocks of seats empty thanks to 12 idiots. F**king brilliant but no blame from me to the club or the police

Hundreds knocked off the attendance for any future big game - I really do hope these bans are lifetime ones.

Also, Wealdstone fans have to pick-up their ticket in person from the club shop in London to avoid the possibility of home fans going in the away end - a request made by Wrexham. Suggests we had at least one idiot in the away end for Torquay.

Many will still call what happened v Torquay 'banter' though...

Really don't understand how we can’t effectively segregate still with shutting blocks of seats. Anfield has home fans above away fans and high risk games segregated by 3/4 lines of seats to the side. Copy that for so many other stadiums.

Yes, a handful have ruined the “test event” of opening up more seats but they have quickly identified them and surely the only learning point is stewards in the right areas… not to shut them!
