First ever club to be deducted 10 points for financial irregularities and it wasn't even the club at fault. Loads went unpunished before us, actually building promotion squads by going into administration

Now, for the cherry on the cake, after being here for 14 long years scratching around with "build the budget" and bucket collections while we've watched bank rolled pub teams grind us into the dust, we have the first bit of luck ever and the whole league turns on us because our sustainable model isn't fair !!

Grimsby new owners seem like decent enough owners with the clubs interests at heart, but he's already mentioned they are running at a loss. With our increased media presence- and revenue (dismissed as Cringe by fans of other clubs) season ticket sales and sponsorships I can't imagine we are despite paying out some high wages.

What really grates with Stockwood is his constant "I'm a Council house boy" schtick. Get that chip off your shoulder Magwitch.

Can not disagree with anything Jason Stockwood has to say in the Guardian article. He is trying to be objective in my opinion and showing a concern for the good of the game as a whole. We appear to have lost that ability on RP.

Just imagine this, for example Manchester Utd got relegated to the national league but still managed 70k every home game but still had a budget cap of 800k per year because it’s not fair on any other clubs that can’t compete

If he were that concerned he would have Grimsby running at a profit or break even and not contributing to the “problem” by spending more than they make.

Exactly we had to do it when Fleetwood and Salford were spending big on mercenaries.
