A better article with fewer annoying adverts is in the Guardian:

The Hollywood A-listers at Wrexham are harmless. The damage is done by growing inequality between clubs

Sour grapes no doubt about it. You wouldn’t hear a peep off Grimsby fans in this area if it had happened to them.

Besides most of our income has been generated through large season ticket sales, large crowds and large sponsorship deals rather than unsustainable spending so he’s talking shite there anyway.

I guess, Grimsby over reached themselves gaining promotion back to the FL for a club of their size to be relegated back so soon.

Nice to be on the other side of the fence on this for a change. We’ve suffered for years - unfortunately it’s the way football always has and always will be like. Thankfully our turn has arrived!

I'm afraid Grimsby fans are becoming obsessed with us. I typed 'Wrexham' into their search box and left it at 'last 30 days' and it came back with "145 results found". That's 145 posts in just one month!!

Funny when they talk about levelling up no mention about the fact that we are the only club in the National League that can't sign players outside the transfer window

Re: Grimsby's spending concerns

These articles showing such concern about the lower leagues having money in them all of a sudden always conveniently leave out facts such as our increased sponsorship and commercial revenue, shirt sales, season tickets, and large attendances.

It's almost like they have an ulterior motive.

Exactly. I'm sure somebody on here said that we had made £2,000,000 from season tickets and shirt sales alone, nevermind sponsorships and extra home attendance revenue.
