Let’s face we’ve been pretty awful for years and there’s plenty of criticism of the team on RP, especially the live match thread which at times is completely off the scale.

Yet when Ratcliffe says what most other people are saying he gets abuse. He’s just saying it as it is. People need to get over it.

The cynic in me believes that Radio Wales have bolstered their Wrexham commentary simply because of the hype around the club.

It's a ratings gainer for them with the club now attracting more support.

Quite why the commentary rights couldn't have been given to a local station in Wrexham however, like it was when Calon FM broadcast the games, annoys me somewhat, as it's clear BBC Radio Wales does not ordinarily serve North Wales well at all.

Further, if BBC Wales really wanted to show their commitment, maybe a permanent radio and TV facility in, I don't know, possibly Wrexham wouldn't go amiss?

If I'm not at the game, it's always BBC Radio Wales for me. Ratcliffe can be a boring arse, but I've started to see him as a bit of a Partridge character with his inability to pronounce footballers names. Then you have Wayne Phillips, whose in game comments end up as a small novel during games. But it's not too bad.

Call Rob is a Cardiff/ Swansea moan fest, but they do chuck stones at the moon down there.

Ratcliffe was a good player, a poor manager and an even poorer pundit. I never listen to the game as i am normally there and when not cannot listen. As said have got through to the phone in several times and like Rob Philips. Swansea and Cardiff put simply have (at this moment) got more followers than us.
