Totally agree with this . I said on Saturday , if one of those chances in the 1st half had gone it , it would have been a totally different game , as Wealdstone set their stall out to defend from the first minute ( and waste as much time as possible from the start of the second half ) .... and they did it VERY well, an excellent defensive unit , organised , sitting deep , hard to break down and an excellent keeper behind them .

If we'd have scored they would have had to come out and we would , I believe have scored more ( assuming the keeper couldn't keep on pulling off outstanding saves all game )

Tonight will be a harder game , but Halifax won't be so defensively minded , that could work in our favor , or could see us under massive pressure all game

If it's the latter, I just hope that when we do get the ball , we break quickly and effectively - not long ball hoofs , but rather use Green & RHJ to break fast and play Mullin and Hyde in from quality balls from out wide , not the speculative hoofs we've been seeing .

I do think we can get something out of the game . Halifax will be confident , but they'll also want to prove themselves against us ... I think it'll be a high scoring draw despite Halifax having such a good defensive record .... but as PD says , ONLY if we score first ... if they score first ... we'll struggle

I'd take a draw right now, if offered it, but to be honest with you, I can't see anything other than a defeat.
Halifax lost their first home game of the season and won every game since including a 3-0 over Stockport.

Halifax 3 Wrexham 1. Hyde for us against his old club.

As a Halifax fan here. Genuinely think it will be a good game. We set up as a 4-2-3-1. We aren’t a big side at all. But we are quick and physically fit, and with waters up front we defend from the front, as he doesn’t stop running for 90mins. Very young team, but seem
To have loads of character.

Like I said most fans seem quietly confident. But we look at your team and think woah, that’s some decent players for this level, surely it will click soon.

The difference among our fan base so far this season is that we are looking forward to games win, lose or draw cause of the style of football we try to play. In most seasons and I’m sure you can agree with. Attending games sometimes can feel like a chore almost, using it as a meet-up with mates or a bit of banter. Have a safe journey over and here’s to a good game whatever the result.

Might be worth getting off at J22, then via ripponden, Greetland. 23-27 is always busy and via ripponden, Greetland misses out a nice chunk of the busy
Local traffic and road works between Huddersfield and Halifax.

Halifax will be up for this. We stole their star striker last August and they will really want to shine. Although more space for us to play, Halifax should attack from the start. I can see tears before bed time. Halifax 3 Wrexham 1.
