Nice touch and awareness from Ponitcelli to set it up, as soon as it got to Mullin you knew it was going in.
If you watch it back notice how Mullin just delays that extra second before pulling the trigger which made the keeper commit. Could easily have snatched at it early and likely shot over or been saved.

That's why he's on the big bucks

Was a lovely finish.

That's exactly how I saw it. The ref didn't give the foul for the initial tackle on the touchline on Young but blew a second later for the player clipping Davies' heel. Listen out for him blowing his whistle.

Hyde in the middle, Mullin off with either Angus, Ponticelli or even Jordan Davies. I have a soft spot for 4 3 3 personally but again it's that midfield conundrum. Green and RHJ ideal as attacking fullbacks.

You would set up with Hyde in the centre but the front three would have to be able to play in all three positions. The more they interchange and move, the more they disrupt the defence and create chances.

Correct, forwards like Morrell, Wright, Pogba were particularly effective at this previously.

I see no reason why the likes of Davies, Ponticelli, maybe even Jarvis couldn't adapt to this position. I suspect Mullin and Hyde could do so straight away.

I do suspect PP will stick to 3 5 2 for now though. Would prefer more tactical fluidity myself.

I know highlights can be misleading but from the longer highlights on Wrexham Player Davies had a blinder and Mullin is so much more than a goalscorer.

We need to play 4-3-3 at home and scare the shit out of the away team from the off not let them settle into the game knocking it around like they're in a training game.Let them have it from the off and we set the tone and tempo

3-5-2 is OK away but please PP don't ever try that ridiculous 5-3-1-1 again as it was begging for a defeat.

Game changed when went 3 up top. Halifax were suddenly all over shop at the back. Couldn't cope with the movement and physicality
