Brilliant intelligence from plod again seeing as all the trouble was to the right on the way down the hill towards the roundabout. I literally saw 2 of them just standing there near the roundabout doing nothing and I'd just passed 2 fights on Hunger Hill

They didn't want to know

Just goes to show how disconnected they were, as Omni said, they've even got the wrong street for the assault in their statement. I guess it would have helped if they had been near there, which they clearly weren't.

Embarrassing night for WYP, literally any of us could have been attacked as there was no protection/segregation at all as we left the stadium

You can accept stuff happening after you've left the immediate area, you keep your head down and hide your colours if you've got any sense but for all these incidents to happen right outside is unacceptable as it was obvious we were Wrexham fans from where we had exited.

It was basically an ambush

I'd like to contribute to any fundraising too.

Have kids the same age that I take to away games. So sad for the lad (and his mates and Omni too) was attacked by a gutless thug.

Let's hope the perpetrators are identified, caught and the book thrown at them.
If a funding page is set up, happy to contribute.
I'll set up a justgiving page tomorrow once I've cleared it with his parents. He'll be made up as he was gutted that he'd ripped his new armani jeans as much as the fact he was covered in blood.

The club must do all it can to protect the genuine Halifax fans who turn up for the return fixture. There will numbskulls out there now planning how to get at the away supporters, we don't want a repeat of Tuesday nights brutal assault happening in Wrexham. If anything will turn off R&R investment in the club,it will be a repeat of the Torquay game, and another bout of gratuitous violence that brings shame on the club.

Once it’s set up share on RP as a new thread and I can post it on the Halifax forum.

Hopefully we can generate enough for a new pair of Armani jeans and perhaps a Bamfords ticket too

100% agree with this, the thought of some kind of pathetic retribution against innocent Halifax fans is sending shudders down my spine

Can we get a little balance please ?
Let's condemn the scum who attacked young kids and physicaly / seriously harmed one of them along with hurting others.
Fog made his comment BEFORE it was common knowledge that a child was attacked and would have made his thoughts known based on previous matches where its common knowledge that we have an element of fans looking to and succeeding to fight fans from other clubs.
It always looks worse with hindsight. Withchunts are distasteful too.
I await a backlash now for doing nothing but I felt someone needed to try and temper the vitriol and point it in the direction it should go.

Everything you say is correct but i guess FOG could have also said the same immediately and it would have passed without notice ? The galling part is the silence when FOG is posting elsewhere.
We do have an element of troublemakers I agree but the nature of this attack on a man and his three young charges and the ferocity of the attack are alarming.
