Agree all good reads. The Dai book was called "Never say Dai". Others include Eddie May "My story", and probably the best I've read recently is Steve Stacey "The Colour of Football". There is also a Lee Trundle autobiography.

Got most of the books listed in these pages. Was privileged to speak to Steve Stacey when he came over and present him with a couple of mementoes. His book , as you say, is a great read….although shocking in respect of racial prejudice suffered by his Dad.

THE HISTORY THREAD

The stuff from the history thread has permeated well beyond RP, WAL, and has probably reached more people than it would have done in the conventional form of a book. I have seen articles lifted directly from the history thread, on twitter and facebook, and facts taken from the thread incorporated into wiki pages, while historicalkits.co.uk has been updated with quite a few facts directly from the thread. There are also articles on historical websites and the information about our founding players has also been updated on ancestry sites too.
The article at footballhistory.org has received quite a few hits internationally and even the bbc lifted many of its facts directly from the history thread or footballhistory.org, when it reported the takeover back in February.

I have also spent a fair bit of time spreading the information amongst different official bodies and while it is not the conventional way of doing things, the history/pre-history of the club and stadium is reaching a lot of people by different means, although there is still more research to do, at least from my perspective, before I can bring the information together and complete the project,
