Default Halifax manager’s comments

For those who haven’t seen the comments they are below

https://www.halifaxcourier.co.uk/spo...defeat-3469025

“ Somehow they've had two shots at goal and scored two goals, but obviously when they're paying silly money for centre-forwards then that's what it gets you, which is ludicrous but it is what it is."

I know that we just have to get used to these embarrassing tinpot comments but what is frustrating from my perspective is obviously we are a much bigger club than Halifax but we’re also ironically much more sustainably ran than them.

Despite the fees and wages for Mullin, Tozer, Hayden due to the huge income we’re receiving from sponsorship, shirt sales, merch, ticket sales etc we are making more money than them despite the outlay. I’d understand more if we were spending money we don’t have but we’re not, we’re just spending money we’re generating.

Sooner we get out of this tinpot league with its tinpot managers and other clubs here realise we’re a league one/ champ club in waiting the better obviously as we wouldn’t get these kind of comments in league one or higher for example, but it’s still amusing that we get these salty comments against our club.

Quite enjoyed us being the hated shithouses after last night’s smash and grab. I can remember feeling like that about many an away team that ended up getting promoted.

Bet they won't complain about the extra £20k in gate receipts.

Quite. Hopefully a fine comes their way somewhat eradicating that.

He has a point he's not saying we're running the club in a dangerous way, but he is correct in saying several clubs are creating an unsustainable division for the chasing pack.

He's spot on about Mullin to be fair, take him from our side and we would likely be in a mess right now. Fortunately we have the necessary funds to hopefully complete our team reboot for a strong finish. Anyway I couldn't give a toss what he thinks or any of the smaller clubs who have been bankrolled by unsustainable finance to artificially beat proper league football clubs stranded in a bottlenecked tinpot league.

We have struggled for over decade to these upstarts and now a collective of proper historic clubs are taking back control boy will they cry

Don’t worry bout our manager wears his heart on his sleeve. His comments were just as delusionals as Parkinson’s. Get the feeling there was no love lost between the benches during the game. Think it all just added to the drama of proper game under the floodlights with a good atmosphere. You beat us, but it was a great 2nd half and look forward to us bringing a fair number to your place and another cracking game.

Ditto.

We have a great opportunity to get back into the EFL, but changes are afoot to the governance of English clubs which could eventually affect us.

It's not silly money if the goalscorers edge the result

Would this affect us this though PD? Surely any good salary cap will be based around income and expenditure. If we continue to attract lucrative sponsorship deals and huge sales through merchandise and ticket sales then we will be able to spend any money generated?

This will only be a problem for clubs spending beyond their means no?
