If we finish 2nd or 3rd and had not had the FAT final , there would be a two week gap between games, and so at least it keeps us ticking over etc.

Finishing in the top 3 is very important.
A 4th place finish would give us a quarter final play off game 3 days after the trophy final on an energy sapping Wembley pitch. A scenario I'd prefer to avoid.

Some of our fans seem to be assuming we will automatically get into the Playoff Final. There will be a number of teams in the playoff zone trying their best to make sure we don't!

I think he means more of the last game of the season and the playoff semi finals
