Default Woking player ratings

Dibble 6 - not to blame for the goals and made a good save
RHj 5 - out of sorts and lacking on confidence
Hayden, Tozer, Cleworth 5 - all played well first half especially Tozer but collectively went to pieces second half and looked frantic
McAlinden 5 - created our goal but very suspect defensively and showed zero composure from attacking positions 2nd half
Davies 4 - lookes sluggish and I dont know what he was thinking for the pen
Young 5 - much endeavour but little quality today
Jones 6 MOM - tried to keep us going and hit the bar, best of a bad bunch
Palmer 4 - he clearly isn't but he looked a complete donkey today and got no change from their giant centre halves
Mullin 5 - skied a great chance and looked poor, gets an extra point for his tracking back to prevent us going 3-1 down

Subs not on long enough to rate and neither was McFadzean

Good assessment, I thought same about Palmer today. Losing McFadzean so early didn’t help, and McAlinden who had played well in that position previously, never seemed to get going and had a tricky winger to handle.

Davies once again proving he is a luxury player, if he doesn’t score he is 4/10 every week

Agree with these ratings. The wingbacks were particularly poor, we rely on them to create openings for Palmer and Mullin but today, they never got going. RHJ is definitely the weakest link in our team.

Wingbacks have no ability to beat a man, particularly RHJ.

A bad day at the office for the whole team

Fairly depressing read. What possessed PP to sub J Jones if he was our best player? Is he blinded to Davies being a passenger for some time now?

Our whole game is built on a combination of: passing accurately across the back; a midfield that works hard but often lacks creativity; and getting the ball forward to our 2 strikers who can usually score goals.

Our lack of creativity in midfield persists, but everything else went to rat-shit just when we needed an ugly win.

The question now is whether we can steady the ship over these few, remaining games. My fear is that too many players are running on fumes. Hope I am wrong because we have achieved nothing yet!

I agree he didn’t have his best game, but he looks one of a few who has the quality to create. The ball for the chance for Mullin to make it 2-1 as an example which you would of expected Mullin to hit the target at least.

Not at the races today and if you don’t turn up then we can’t expect anything more!

Would I be be deemed a WUM if I suggested Jordan Davies is a poor man’s Dom Vose?

18 goals this season would say yes. He needs a rest, so do a few others, but who would you replace them with, hopefully we can consolidate top 3 sooner rather than later to be able to rest a few before injuries start to occur.
