After Tuesday's long-distance adventures on Jurassic Coast, can we now continue to sedate a similar set of struggling southern sea-salters?

Southend may have won their last 3 games, but their away form isn't great, and they were recently kippered by both Stockport County and Notts County. Will they get the same treatment as they visit Wrexham County for the first time in ages? Who remembers that sunny, halcyon day at the Millennium Stadium all those many years ago? Yes, it was a great day out but long, long ago! We need more to refresh the memories of that vital win. One that helped save the club from bankruptcy.

Unfortunately, we are picking up an unwanted list of injuries due to fatigue, just at the wrong time of the season. The loss of Hayden will be a big blow, so we must hope French continues in fine form at CB, with the revitalised Hall-Johnson at RWB. It will be quite a responsibility on Tozer's broad shoulders to marshal such a young defence. He is more than capable provided he switches on from when he leaves the dressing-room first time, and not his customary 25 minutes into the game!

We eventually scored for fun at Weymouth once we got over the usual sucker-punch. We cannot afford to be so generous on Saturday, as we need both a win and more goals to chase Stockport. O'Connor got some essential game-time, and looked very good. Is he fit enough to start? If so, who makes way? Davies has had a very demanding year physically, emotionally and mentally; but he did himself proud on Tuesday with some superb goals. So, who would you drop to make way for TO'C? Or should he again start from the bench? Difficult call for PP, but some fresh, classy legs in midfield might be just the ticket!

Should be a good gate, and I think we'll win it. But I also think County will beat Boreham Wood, who seem to have gone to rat-shit since we beat them twice.
