Wasn’t there (on holiday). Didn’t sound pretty but 3 points is 3 points! One more win and we have a home tie in the play off semis.

Good win against tough opponents. But Southend created very little for all their possession.

Very clean game, very few fouls let alone anything close to a yellow card

Great clean sheet considering out of the goalie and the back five. Only 1 of Phil’s first choice started, and he didn’t even launch any missiles today.

Southend are okay, absolutely nothing in the final third though.

Made that harder than it heeded to be. Palmer is worth every penny.

He was steady enough against a poor attack, but you can tell there isn’t as much confidence without Hayden’s presence.

He played really well, as did Tozer and Dibble. Difficult game because Southend were well organised and played a high line well. But they were fortunately lacking up front. 1-0 was a fair score in the end.
