Default Backroom staff

A lot of money has been supposedly spent assembling, we are told, the best Sports Science, Psychology, Physio and Fitness backroom staff in the division, yet surprisingly over the past few weeks the players have looked leggy, tired and jaded.

Obviously something is not right, so should those departments shoulder some of the blame for these lethargic displays?

To me it's more recruitment, we haven't got the quality to replace players so have stretched the first team

The answer is 'yes'. Everyone shoulders the blame.
I know that's a bit of a trite answer and I do agree with you that something is obviously not right, but blame has value only if you can change something as a result.
At this stage of the season I don't think we have time for meaningful change from that group, with the exception of Psychology where the onus must be to keep people positive.

I think this, I think all Parky’s signings have worked to a certain extent but the ones with suspect injury records have stung us. The squad looked a bit better today with Hyde, OConnor, Hossanah and Macfadzean back but centre backs and goal keeper a massive concern.

A good mate of mine was staying at a hotel in Bristol last tue / wed and the team were there on the way back from Weymouth. He had a chat with them and the feeling he got was that they were not a happy group with all of the travelling, and then having a sat / Mon back to back games this weekend.
If you look back at the fixtures since Easter till today it has been really tough for them, a few more days recovery till sat should hopefully help.

If it's true that Harvey and Reed recruited Brisley,Hyde,McAlinden and Lennon it should be ensured that recruitment is left to Parky/manager in future.Very low success rate there with 2 at least injury prone.

Agree with this, if we only play one formation then any injuries we need like for like replacement. TOC would walk back into most teams but because of our rigid formation players like RHJ and French who although decent are not on the same level but will start before him.

Players cannot complain of schedule as all teams same.Issue is have not been able to rest players due to quality issues in squad due to personnel and injuries.
