Default D&R(A) - T’s & P’s

Friday the 13th is possibly not the best timing to predict the end of the season, but here goes!

After 43 games the title is not yet won, albeit County have one hand on the trophy whilst we look on with some fear and envy. Nevertheless, if results go right on Sunday it could yet be red-and-white ribbons on the trophy.

I have long feared that D&R would be a tough place to end the season. Their own need to win to stand a chance of the POs makes it even more challenging. If we are to win it it will need a tremendous 90 minute performance. As we saw against Woking and BW, we often struggle to impose ourselves when on the road. We cannot afford a repeat no-show.

But we also need Halifax to go to County and beat the champions elect in front of the cameras. As we saw recently, County have a top-rate midfield and keeper, but their defence is suspect and their strike force was more miss than hit. It will be a massive win for the Shaymen but, equally, one they probably need if they are to displace SM in that important third position.

Top drama to end the season or damp squib?

I have long thought this would go down to GD to decide top spot, and that might yet be the case! Regardless, Sunday will not be for the faint-hearted!

D&R 1 WXM 2

County 1 Shaymen 2

We can but dream!

At Christmas, who would've dreamed that we would be fighting for the title on the last day of the season - it is a great time to be a Wrecsam fan again

Looking forward to a trip to Dagenham with the family. We need to concentrate on getting 3 points. I’m not hugely optimistic Halifax will win, but football is very unpredictable - we’ve seen numerous teams already crowned champions by some on here.

I think Wrexham win 4-0 but Halifax lose 2-1. It’s the closest we’ve been to winning the league in our time down in the NL and I will be there to enjoy it if it happens!!!

Up the reds!

D and R 0 Wrexham 2

Stockport 1 Halifax 1

I think we’ll just devastatingly miss out and Stockport will hold on for a draw. However if that’s the case I look forward to clapping the players for a brilliant campaign.

Is there just one more sting in the tail left in this crazy season?

I'm not even contemplating the chance of us winning the title- its the hope that kills you after all.

I think we will beat Dagenham but I expect Stockport to secure the top spot by beating Halifax.

D&R 1- 3 Wrexham (McCallum; Mullin 2, Palmer)
Stockport 1- 0 Halifax. (Madden PEN)

I just hope that you do your bit on Sunday.

I don't think many of your fans would cope knowing a win would have given you the title when Stockport lose!

If someone was producing a documentary, a last day, last minute winner to secure a title would surely help it sell!
