Thanks for this and I agree with the vast majority of it but it's worth noting that we turned ourselves around before the investment. I think we were even in the NL POs with Gannon at the helm when Stott completed his takeover. That season we missed out on the POs by PPG with Covid. But for the takeover we wouldn't have the squad and potential we have now but we weren't a complete basket case that needed to be rescued.
I agree that your catchment area is larger but it's promising that our gates have actually grown in non-league, admittedly from a low base when we were a mid-table NLN team. We're getting close to our Championship levels now and there does seem to be lots of supporters, young and old, losing interest in or touch with the PL.
