Default Mark Carrington

Carra announced his retirement with a nice message to our and Kiddy fans. Definitely welcome back to the Racecourse.

Underrated by many whilst at Wrexham.
Even remember a comment from years back about him 'spending more time on his hair than training', a comment which always struck me that it said more about the author than the player.Top pro. Top bloke.
I for one wish him all the very best and massive thanks for his contribution to WFC.

Top pro and the ultimate squad player who could do a job almost anywhere on the pitch. Always seemed to be held.in very high regard by his teammates too, which says a lot.

Happy retirement Carra and good luck with whatever comes next.

Reading comments on Twitter and between the lines comments from Carra’s wife, there appears to be a little bit of animosity as to how it ended at Wrexham. Maybe he wasn’t told in a professional way. No doubt he’ll say if he does the FoD podcast.

Decent enough player for us but always felt he lacked consistency and a bit of toughness needed to hold down a position; whether it be at right back or centre mid. Had he been kept on, he’d have barely played a minute.

I'm surprised he is knocking it on the head, he's only 35 and seems to have had a good season at Kiddy. I presume he has some injury worries or something else lined up.

And overrated by equally as many.

Seems like a nice guy though, who like Rutherford, always did his best. Not really their fault that was never going to be enough.
