He is a class above Cleworth, if he stays fit it would be like a new signing.

May get stick here.. I’d not mind seeing Cleworth loaned out again. I don’t see him being a starter tho I’m sure he’ll have a few games. But surely after last season, he needs to be starting. So would a loan to someone in our league be so bad?

Sorry but Cleworth did enough last season to keep his place unless we are brining in some 1st division defender. Not often i agree with Foxy but i didn't think Lennon was that good when he was in the squad. Add in his injury record and tbh i wouldn't have offered him a deal given we could go out and get a player who could play the season and not be a bit part.

I’ll put myself down as indifferent about this one. Clearly a very good defender, but can we really afford to carry players with his injury record?

Nobody, not a single person, would have complained if Lennon had been released, but apparently he is now the next Bobby Moore. One bloke on Facebook says he was “superb” last season. It’s a classic example of partisan blindfoldery.

Have you got any figures to back up that claim, or are you just making it up?

If Cleworth plays well enough he will start. It's good to have competition for places. Both Young and Jones upped their game when I Connor signed.

Cleworth will get minutes because he can also cover RCB as well as LCB.
