Seriously, the level of English comprehension taught in schools is very poor. Below is what I said about Wright. How on earth does this (below) equate to he “was a good player for us” ?

“I rated him when he first came. Good feet , good short passing, tall and powerful looking. But he seemed to go backwards and seemed incapable of using his body strength. From memory he came down with a really bad virus which seemed to knock him back. If he is proving a decent player again I’m not surprised.”

Agree a concern which is excaberated when French and Brisley are contracted for the season too.
To be title contenders we need a new centre half.

Hopefully we’ll be signing a better defender anyway so not really fussed, when (if) he’s fit he can be a decent backup. Don’t understand his mythical status he holds with some fans though. With each game he missed he seemed to be held in higher esteem, he’s basically prime Maldini at this stage.

Doubt he was swamped with offers and I assume we have enough nous when negotiating to ensure the contract offer was on favourable terms for ourselves

Lennon wouldn’t look out of place at an average league 1 team, if he keeps fit and Cleworth improves as well. It’s a massive win win

We need someone to ask Parky what the deal is with Brisley. Tomi needs to leave the takeaways alone and get down the Farndon for a pint with PP.

Yes, just sits there with his cup of coffee to like 11pm then walks home or his son picks him up. Goes for a couple of 10 mile runs every week
