Praying we can do similar with Mullin.
We do have Mullin signed up for this season and the next 2 tbf…

It's probably a bit of both. A one season wonder in full time football.

Wouldn’t say loyalty. He won’t be going anywhere this window, the contract just means you’ll get more for him & he’s got a pay rise for the season he’s staying for. Scored a hatful this season and he’ll be off

Scores hardly any this season and it’s calling stupidity! If the big money higher league offers were there he’d have been off. Clearly they weren’t so he’s settling, who’d blame him tbf.

It’s a transaction that suits both parties, no doubt there will be a release clause if he wants out.

I dunno about that. Shows he's happy at Notts, and protects them from future transfer offers. If he gets another good goalscoring season then clubs from L1 or even the Championship will come sniffing and they'll have to pay a decent amount for him.

Exactly, you've just proved why it can only be considered a good move, by re-negotiating his contract, not only can he not go on a free at the end of the season but the longer the contract, the more 'in theory' someone will have to pay to get him, which as you say, is football, therefore why would we let his contract run down, its a win win for us.

Its obviously a no brainer which is great for the club.

As for the comment saying he obviously doesn't believe in his own ability's, I don't think that is the case when players re-negotiate a deal. It's a case of getting more money (which he deserves) in the meantime and he knows full well that if the right offer comes along he can go. Lets not forget, contracts don't tie a player down, it just means your more likely to get a players true value should they eventually go. Its a very simple case of protecting your assets.

‘If’ is a big word…EFL is a bigger pond than VNL. Guess we’ll see how the man who was being called the ‘Non-League Haaland’ gets on… One of us will be right..

Exactly, had the same happen to Mullin there would be no one questioning his desire or lack of determination to play as a higher level.

Quite bizarre reading some comments when we know full well if the roles were reversed the same wouldn't be said about their own players/team.
