As a very old soccer fan. I personally consider Notts county a lot bigger club than Oxford. It has a history, tradition, and fan base that Oxford will never match. I think it could be a big mistake if Luke williams leaves Notts for them. Just my opinion...

I do wonder with Notts slumping and having the injury bug if this isn’t the perfect time for LW to cash out and up, if he wants. There are certainly advantages to staying at Notts and potentially being involved in multiple promotions though.

Williams moving to Oxford would. be an odd move. County have a good chance of being a legaue one themselves in the next few season, have stable owners and a lot of potential as a club. Oxford seem a bit of a basket case at the moment fans don't like their owner and they have to be out of their stadium by 2026. They've recently revealed details of a proposed new stadium but it all seems a bit pie in the sky.

If I was him I'd wait for a bigger move to come along.

I'd agree. Notts have much greater potential than Oxford

I can't see LW leaving Notts County for anything less than a "Prem quality" club. Notts County, like us, are on a trajectory to get back to the Championship and from there who knows what can happen.

Not so sure about that - If a championship club came knocking I suspect he'd go there ...... I also can't see ANY premier league club gambling on such an inexperienced manager who's only achievement is promotion from the NL

If he has been interviewed then I suspect LW will have impressed and the attraction for Oxford is that it looks like their outgoing manager had them playing something not to dissimilar in style to County which would make it easier for him to keep up their momentum- in theory. Don't know enough about them these days but are they a bigger club than Notts? Higher division obviously at the moment but potentially? Not obvious to me.
