I see we are now at the same amount of games through the season as the 0-4 home loss to Chesterfield 16 years ago. I remember checking for the result and probably feeling more disappointed than I did for their 2-0 win at the Technique this time last year.

A very satisfying result. Mullin impressed as did his replacement, Fletcher. Interestingly, our record to date, Won 4 Lost 3 Drawn 1, is the same as our record against the same teams the last time we played them, way back whenever! Although the Goals For 20 Against 15 is very different from the For 6 Against 3 of yesteryear.

I enjoyed that not one bit. The painful lack of pace in our back line was exposed for all to see. The whole performance was abysmal and I feel for those fans who actually made the journey. For those who complain about not getting tickets to away games, this result screams "be careful what you wish for"!

Parky has a lot to do if he wants a result next weekend!

Twenty four hours later and still not sure except for one question:

"Ref. which Sunday League did you officiate in today?"

Actually, sorry, that's insulting to Sunday League refs.

Some positives, a clean sheet, an away point, errm...

I wasn't there and didn't see it but, Live Match Thread and other reports indicate that it was a typical Parkinson away game - Hoof and Hope! - with a slight improvement in the second half.
