Wrexham are playing well but their hopes for promotion are under threat thanks to the amazing play of a surging rival - Notts County.

I’d guess this episode is setting up the narrative for the end of season match as well as the two teams going toe-to-toe; breaking records etc. I wonder if Notts will have a new sense of respect for WAFC as I’d guess it will shine a massive light on them too.

I've thought for a while that they'll do well out of this documentary.

They can't not feature very heavily in it given how close they ran us this season.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they picked up a noticeable international following off the back of it. Oldest professional club in the world, play attractive football, Nottingham relatively well-known already for Robin Hood etc. Plus they ended up getting promoted anyway.

If they're clever they'll embrace the documentary and put out some social media content to capitalise on it.

One of the best parts of Series 1 was the final episode interview with the Grimsby owner Jason Stockwood. Those sweeping drone shots of Blundell Park were stunning.

Can see a similar treatment for County. By all accounts their former CEO Jason Turner wasn't one for the limelight so he may not be on camera. He died in March aged just 50 so I can see this episode being focused on the football side of things and then the 'Foster save' episode being more of a tribute to him.

Saw a little bit of a spoiler on this episode in one of the recent Athletic articles, apparently Tozer gets into it with Mullin at halftime of the first Notts game for shooting when he should have passed and it got a bit heated to where Phil had to step in, no doubt an early indicator of the tension everyone was feeling last season.

Give Luke Williams the spotlight, maybe more big clubs will come calling hah

Tbh he is quite compelling anyway, and yeah I’d assume there’s at least a little bit on Jason Turner

Didn’t the documentary crew speak to Notts at the end of the season to talk about how they would be portrayed? Would be interesting to see a view from inside their camp on the title race.

I should think so too because I was fuming with Mullin and Palmer that night
