We sold out but the attendance was only 9500 or so, so quite a few didn't turn up. Max is about 10,300 or so. Looking at Footballwebpages we got over that 10 times last season.
Let's be honest Crawley don't sell out against Stockport

And yes I think it’s weird too. I wouldn’t bother if it was another club.
It's not true according to Hatter 1 in spite of all the evidence saying otherwise

Theres points I agree with on both sides, but the very obvious one is whatever extra incentive teams fans have against beating you pales into insignificance when wanting to beat local rivals.

If we lose against Wrexham I would get over it by the following day like I would most teams.

If we lose to Mansfield there is someone much deeper and will liekly be frustrated for a good week or so.

The ticket sales for Notts for the Mansfield/Wrexham games tell the picture that the Mansfield game is the more anticpated one by quite some distance. We will sell out the home ends for Mansfield, and likely will do against Wrexham but the tickets have sold noticeably quicker for the Mansfield game.

Likewise if the Mansfield ground held more home fans, I would suspect they would attract more fans against us than against Wrexham.

But outside of local rivalries and key games that decide seasons, I agree. The media frenzy and all that comes with it gets people's backs up. The same probably applies to players of other clubs too.

As you say, it's not that people are excited to see Wrexham play - Wrexham aren't even the biggest club in the division. It's that they want that "put that in your ****ing documentary" moment.
With our now 20+Million turnover , global fan base and sell out attendances whch we would probably easily double Out of curiosity who do you see as the biggest side in the league

In terms of the Notts v Wrexham game on the 28th do you think we'll get the entire stand? (Jimmy Sirrel Stand)

Yes mate, I put the same in the thread relating to the game. As much as I would like to see us split the stand and get more Notts fans in potentially, its just not something Notts Police ever seem to be on board with unless its a game with less risk of trouble (E.g Boreham Wood and Yeovil last season).

The stand holds 5500, but the current allowed capacity due to some health and safety measures put in place recently means you will like get around 3800-3900 if other games have been anything to go by.

Genuine question, by what standard do you judge who is the biggest club in the Division? Biggest doesn’t mean top (sorry Notts).

Try in no particular order: greatest number of European games played, biggest number of overseas fans, biggest media presence, biggest social media presence, biggest global media presence, biggest shirt sales, biggest merchandising, biggest draw for fans of other clubs, biggest revenue generation, biggest budget (supposedly).

Aye but could that be down to the Mansfield game being played couple of weeks before ours though? Although I do get your point in terms of rivalry.

That's worth a thread in its own right, 'How big a club is' has always been measured differently based on who you talk to and what they base it on. In the same way many still don't see Man City as a big club due to a lack of history compared to the bigger teams. It's probably not a debate worth having one way or the other to be honest or conversely prior to their promotion to the premier league Forest were still considered a huge club despite doing sod all for 20+ years and getting as low as 15 odd thousand in some League 1 games which isnt that far off what were getting now. The whole subject is like opening a can of worms

There is no doubt in terms of media presense/revenue/ shirt sales/ global reach you are the biggest, I doubt any debates that.
