Get him on the bench sat and JD in the starting XI.
I donít think the defender was that quick to be honest. He can run but he hasnít got raw pace and can fly past defenders. His game is on the shoulder and he likes to play in behind.

.. he is however a defender that plays regally in League 2 ... look at it again , he did beat him from a long way back and the pace he showed is certainly better than Dalby's - We can't bring anyone in until January , so I'f be going with him and Fletcher on the bench for the next few weeks at least - he asks a lot more questions of defences than Dalby does on current form

I get what you're saying, however it depends on what situation we find ourselves in. If, for example, we are losing 3-2 at home to Crewe, naturally towards the end you are going to chase a goal so lump the ball into the box and get flick ons. JB isn't going to win many headers.

If we want to hold on for a point and SPM's legs have gone, then someone with JB pace can do a job for 10 minutes, far better than SD.

No , but Steven Fletcher will ... so do we need another big lad .... 2 'Target men' up front with less movement makes it easier to defend against , not harder .

there's no perfect answer here , but on balance , Bickerstaff offers more than Dalby at the moment & will work the opposition defenders far harder than Sam - which makes it easier for us to win the ball back , even it isn't Jake that wins it , he's more likely to force the error so it drops to our midfield

In his post match interview Parky did say something along the lines of Bickerstaff “being close to being on the bench”. I like Dalby (who did enough to keep Palmer out of the team for a spell not that long ago…), but I think Jake deserves that second-striker-on-the-bench spot for now.
