I am sure standing is just a behind the goal issue. If you are able to get seats in the Lager or MRS I am not aware of anybody standing in those, except when we score or come close.

Like another poster said,I also used to stand on the old kop and dont mind standing but at the end of the day they are now seats. I'm very aware of an elderly couple directly behind me who remain seated throughout and no doubt have their view obstructed if I stand. Dilemma to be honest. I could stay seated and bob and weave my way through the match knowing I'm not restricting their view or sod it and stand up so I can see the game I've paid for. All this due to one guy. And yes he knows what we think but he's really not arsed.
If he was told from the off by a steward either sit or be ejected then the issue is sorted. Seems petty reading it back but its a situation which could be easily avoided.
Bang him out Pete you're bigger than him. That's what the Stewards are there for.

I was further back than you for the Crewe game which is even worse than being in Y9 as that frigging new scoreboard gets in the way of the Kop end when you stand up because everybody else is. I was 3 or 4 rows from the back and the entire section in front of me was stood up during the whole game.

There were notices at Crewe yesterday saying that persistent standing could result in dismissal from ground and yet apart from a few rows at the front everyone of our away support stood up. The stewards are never going to enforce such a rule when the vast majority do not follow it.

That's the club's fault for installing a score board that's too big and blocks the view. Those seats should be sold as restricted view with a discount.

Lat season we did manage to secure tickets in the Wrexham Lager stand, but this season, i have only manged to get tickets for Tech End and then obviously away end last night.

On both occasions, all fans stood up for the entire match.
I didn't think persistent standing was allowed in seated areas?

It wouldn't be a major issue just for me, but i usually have two young children with me and last night especially was a bit of an issue.

My youngest got upset that she couldn't see a thing, so I told her to stand on one of the seats, which she then also got upset about as she thought she was going to fall (I was also a bit worried about this the entire game.)

I've never had an issue with this in MRS and WXM lager stand.

Is this the norm for away games and in the tech end?

I can understand people getting up and standing when celebrating when something happens, but to persistently stand though the whole game whne nothing is happening just seems a bit pointless to me?
This is exactly why the ideal for all football grounds would be to have both areas with allocated seating so people can know exactly where they'll be, and know that sitting is the status quo, and for there to be standing terraces which are first come first serve in terms of where you are, and you know everyone will be standing the whole game. Everyone catered for.

This is the obvious solution and it’s been slow getting there. Once Safe Standing gets a firm hold in stadiums up and down the country then we should see improvements. I hate sitting down for games and will always stand when I can, choosing to go at the back not to block peoples view and I’ll sit (reluctantly) if everyone else is sitting around me.

I turned up late and found my seat. Front row annoyingly, but I did say to the family there, are you OK with me here or shall I find another? They were fine. Flexibility is expected at away games.

Didn't appreciate just how big that thing is until the last home game. I had a bad back for days afterwards having to bend down to my knees whenever we attacked. Last thing I needed after a 200 mile drive that morning.
