Also we're not talking about a player who's immediately going to start here .

He's no a Palmer type player & If Mullin is fully fit ( we have to hope he is ) by January , Armstrong would effectively be £500k to sit on the bench instead of Dalby - yes he may give us a long term option after Mullin , but I'd want to be very sure of that if that's what we're paying £500k for ( from what I've seen he's not anything like Mullin - he's more of a penalty box finisher )
you got 500k 3times ? bet you watched Mullin b4 he came here too,i no i didnt never heard of him

Yep , I'd Seen Mullin play at Tranmere and during his big season at Cambridge although the Cambridge games were via a steam during covid - Armstrong is just a different type of player

His form has dropped off a cliff since missing out on his big move. Doesn't suggest great mental strength to me.

Wasn’t Brandon Hanlan the Wycombe forward our first choice? It was reported that we’d agrees terms with him and some sources said he’d actually signed only for the deal to collapse at the last minute hence us going after Armstrong.

I doubt we’ll go back for him though, he’s got 1 League goal from 11 games with 2 assists and 1 goal in the EFL Cup. He might have been cheaper though!

He is also probably Mr Unpopular there given that he refused to play in January because he wanted out.

Don’t think we will be resurrecting the deal. I may be totally wrong but I get the feeling that someone at the club “pulled” the deal. Geraint and Shaun have too much expertise to mess up registration.

Dan Agyei would’ve been ideal for us in the summer . Should be looking for a player of that mould who can also play in front 3.
