Default Ratings v Sutton

What a scare that was! That team was huge and well set up. They were unlucky to not get a point. Their size neutralised our normal game and it always looked like great shots from outside the box might be needed. Thank god we have the talent to execute them!

Okonkwo 6.5 not a lot to do and no chance for the goal

Tunni 7 solid again second game back
OíConnell 7.5 looked good and in total control until injured
TOC 6.5 efficient but had ample opportunities to be braver on the ball and carry it forward

Barnett 7.5 attacked and defended well until injured
McClean 7 played well in open play, corners poor

Evans 7.5 controlled the game first half and defended well second
JJ 8.5 combined well with Barney and broke up attacks early MoM for me
JD 6.5 plenty of energy but little impact

Palmer 6 out battled for once against massive defence
Mullin 8 great goal and looked fitter

Tozer 4 rusty and provided the scares that Sutton couldnít
Mendy 7 did well and attacked well on wrong foot
Fletcher and Dalby too little time to impact and up against a huge defence
Lee 8.5 for the goal alone, just the kind of skilful, low centre of gravity player needed earlier (but glad he was rested ahead of Saturday)

Crowd seemed unnerved by the pressure

Okonkwo 6- didn't have much to do, couldn't do anything about the goal.

Barnett-6 A tough game as he constantly had two players on him. No faulting his effort, would have liked to see him run at the defenders a bit more.
Tunnicliffe-7 Unflappable. Great to have him back.
EOC-7 Fine till injured, a big miss if he's out
TOC-6 Struggled a bit in the air with the size of their players, but otherwise fine
McClean-7 Corners were a bit off, but given their size that was always going to be hard. Not sure why we didn't vary them more. Otherwise good I thought.

Evans-7 Some people saying he had a bad game. Not sure what they were watching. First half particularly he ran midfield.
Jones-6.5 Passing wayward at times. but always remedies his mistakes.
Davies-6 struggled to get anything going, given no time. on the ball by Sutton

Palmer-6 Tough night against two massive defenders.
Mullin 7 Great goal, kept dropping deeper in second half to retrieve ball but that left us without the option of him running off the defenders shoulder. You can see glimpses of last seasons SPM on its way back.

Tozer-5.5 mostly fine, but lapses in concentration led to their goal, and he constantly launches balls up front when we look better building attacks through midfield.
Mendy - 6.5 Doesn't always convince on his wrong foot but plenty of effort and some really. positive forays down the right. Still not great at defensive headers.
Fletcher 6.5- some great touches as always
Dalby 6.5- defended well, won his headers and good movement.
Lee 7 Half a point more for the manner of the goal. Initially struggled to get into the game but that goal exemplified the man. such a threat anywhere near the edge of the box.

OK in the first half, a bit one paced possibly but I thought we'd build on that for the second. Unfortunately we didn't come. out of the dressing room and let them right back in it. The late winners are great but I wish we wouldn't do it.

Okonkwo 6- Nothing to do most of the game looks very quiet.
Mclean 6.5- real threat in the build ups but defensively not great.
O Connor 6- steady a few good switch passes. Reluctant to go forward with ball
O Connoll 6- solid before Injury
Tunni 6- very vocal all game, steady performance.
Barney 6- didnít know wether to attack or play backwards. Weird game.
Jones 5- not offering from the defence. Not demanding the ball.
Evans. 5- kept it simple all game not very mobile on the ball.
Davies. 5- so much more effective in the last 20 mins but poor otherwise.
Palmer. 5- feeding on scraps all game. Completely set up wrong for him.
Mullin. 7- didnít stop trying and scored a fantastic goal.

Tozer. 4- very sloppy, his fault the goal. Could have dealt with it twice.
Fletcher. 5- did ok nothing special
Dalby. 6 few flick ons did ok
Lee. 7 added urgency, can turn on the ball and smashing goal
Mendy. 8 motm for me constantly taking on his man and having to cross on his weaker foot but was our outlet and changed the game.

Parky 5 set us up wrong again the formation needs to change.
Soon as he changed it the team stepped it up a couple of gears.

You wish we wouldn't score late winners ? You're on your own there pal.

A game lasts 90 minutes +

I think he means he wishes we didnít have to rely on the late winner.
Gotta admit a relaxing 2-0 would be nice, but it seems like thatís not in our DNA
