It’ll have to be McAlinden. I wouldn’t rip up a midfield that’s been so effective recently.

I was thinking this myself. It’s deciding the lesser of two evils.
1) Playing a couple starters out of their usual positions (Jones and Forde), then putting either Young or Cannon in midfield
2) Starting your fifth choice WB.

I would choose option 1, but I don’t think option 2 is much worse.

fair point - just at LWB is better than if we start shuffling everyone around

I’d play Macalinden personally. Although there is a case for moving jones to RWB, Forde to LWB and a midfield of evans, cannon and Lee.

One other thought I had here ..... Cannon to LWB ....likes to carry the ball .. can hit a decent pass - outside bet, but it's a possibility if Parky doesn't want to go with Macalinden and also doesn't want to disrupt the rest of the side .


The more I think about it the more I think we want as little disruption to the rest of the side as possible - so I'd go with Macalinen , or Cannon at LWB

As little disruption as possible- but potentially at Cannon at LWB?

If you’re after as little disruption as possible and don’t fancy McAlinden, surely you go with Davies. A left footer and has played there before
