The new covenants only allow a new stadium to be built within 2 miles of the Racecourse.

Question - does 2 miles encompass the Industrial Estate area? I think, realistically, this is the only area in and around Wrexham that we would get planning permission to build a big stadium in.

I don’t think it does, in which case I’m wondering if 2 miles is, realistically, not enough to make a move practicable
Not something to worry about. Just means that they would have to seek approval to move if it was 2.0 +miles from the 'Course. Pretty sure that they'd get the OK if it was required.

Has the Trust got any intention of creating a rainy day fund for such an eventuality?
The WST subs, and the money from the club annually, I eblieve will be held/used if this occurs

People saying the WST shouldnt be the voice going forward really need to suggest something else/start something first.
Easy to knock, hard to knock something up.
If WST goes, and nothing there to pick up, then it'll be very very difficult to rebuild anything. Far too risky.
WST has had its issues, current version seems like its getting back on track.

What exactly would need rebuilding?

A few happy memories for the WST era…

Mike Newell’s contract
The scoring mechanism
Flag day
Bryan Hughes the manager
Dean keates part two
The war-chest
Selling out to Fleetwood
Build the budget - and then Jonathan Franks and Simon Ainge arriving
Joey jones leaving and then ‘Jonsey’s Bar’
The Danny Ward payday - where was the money spent
Training at our spiritual home
Training on a council field
Bricklayers need not apply…
Xmas raffles
Jumble sales
The wage cap
Mandates
Q and A sessions with the latest manager sold the dream
Playing Chester
‘My Racecourse’
Pretending all fans ‘owned’ the club
Losing to North Ferriby at Wembley
We’re waiting for July to sign players..
We’re waiting for august to sign players..
We’re waiting for the loan window to open…
We’re waiting for the January window to open..
We’ll sign a striker next season
‘2 year plan’ with 12 month contracts
The new groves training ground

Some of the things mentioned are a bit tinpot/amateurish but still put the WST nowhere near the worst custodians of the club in my lifetime. I'd also argue the ousting of the DSA, putting money in Stephen Vaughan's pocket and not being fully transparent over directors' loans were far more damaging.

The things that really knocked my enthusiasm was just the sheer lack of competitiveness on the field. All the other stuff was irritating, but watching us stutter along in the NL with seemingly no hope of investment was very difficult to stomach.

Seems daft knocking a business for raising money to pay players.
