They ruined the club in all aspects just to seize control, then did everything they could not to relinquish that power. It became more about people getting their 10p in and pushing their own agendas for community work than a football club.

If this was a private owner ie moss charging the club under the wst there would have been uproar amongst the sheep following.

There were 10 bids never made public, there were to many separate sources stating they tried to show an interest and the club was a shut shop.

No proof whatsoever to these claims that it paved the way to R&R, there were two bids at the same time as r&r and it was never made public.

That sums up the wst ^ as soon as spencer could he jumped on to the new ship and gavin jones.
When you mention community over the football club, the trust backed the first team more than the youth set up. Year on year, the trust backed the manager. Even then the trust was handed a war chest (Danny Ward money), this wasn’t invested in youth or the community, it was given to the manager to spend on players.

In fact, you could say there were serious divisions with the community in the end (fall out with that disability group over the viewing platform).

I’m happy that we went through fan ownership but given the size of club, it needed early success (ie promotion to the Football League to unlock additional funding) which sadly never happened. The only way we were able to achieve that was by considerably outspending everyone else.

Crazywelsh literally only pops up on the football forum to say how much he hates the trust. Never comments on the actual football.

He’s made it pretty clear he would have wanted the trust to have flogged the club to first interested party.

Its clear to anyone with a semblance of a brain that R&R were the best option (in the history of football as it stands) so while I wasn’t happy with the running side of the club (especially the football), I’m glad it ended the way it did.

Still not sure being angry about the club doing more for the community is really an angle you can be hateful towards. Crap managers yes. Annoyed at inclusion and help for disabled fans? Weird thing to be mad about.

So nobody is allowed their opinion unless it lines up with yours , while I don’t agree 100% with CW he is entitled to his opinions

It's tiresome to see someone keep fighting a battle that has already been won. And I don't think he's putting it across as an opinion - he completely thinks everything he is saying is absolute fact.

Not seen him once talk about the fantastic takeover or the great football we get to see pretty much week in week out.

I think his opinion that we should have sold to the first bidder completely daft.

Where did I say sell to the first bidder you complete idiot, all you do is repeat the same shite over and over.

9 years, 11 bids, had no information on these at all yet the club was training on a patch of grass similar to a welsh 3rd division.

You can’t paint the picture that wst ownership led to the takeover, R&R looked at a few clubs it’s nothing to do with the wst.

You won the fight pal, we got the best owners ever.

Try and enjoy it. None of these other bidders would have been a patch on r&R

And trust ownership did literally lead to the takeover.

You can also argue the decisions they made, made us the prime targets for R +R.
I sometimes wonder if Wrexham had gone down to the NLN that season if they'd even have been on the radar of R/R? It was fortuitous they were bad, but not bad ENOUGH to become completely irrelevant.

The 10 teams on the shortlist were in L2, NL and NL N&S. Humphrey did mention on a podcast they had also looked at the Scottish lower leagues, but they didn't really think it was worthwhile.
