Iíd say shut the whole thing down personally they have no power, theyíve also lost the support of pretty much the whole fan base i for one would rather fans in the stands and an owner actually capable of running the club.

Itís a football club and should be measured on the football, not all secondary stuff which was all the members weíre talking about at meetings.

Thereís no place for what the WST became at any football club, the good work you speak of did come at a cost to the football club itís what most of you cannot understand and thatís not a dig dave. Itís a football club which results are measured on the football not the ďgood workĒ in the community if thatís what you think a football club should be Ö. We would have gone under. Over 3 million in transfer revenue made no difference, 10+ managers in 9 years was it Ö. The entire wst era was a disaster.

The club is still doing community work, the players still get involved in the community and the football club is running as a football club.

The wst have no place in the club because they donít deserve one.
The club has won the lottery with our owners and the greatest times are upon us, but it is easy to forget where we would have been without the collective efforts of the fans and the Trust and convenient to forget the preceeding years of crisis after crisis, a failing team and the gates dwindling. Who else wanted the club, when the Trust took over the club, relegated to the Conference, massively in debt, losing money every week, an ageing, creaking ground and no tangible assets.

No one wants a return to where the Trust or the fans have to step in to save the club but there is a role, similar at every football club and it's up to individuals if they want to be part of that and to what degree or simply turn up and enjoy the journey. I'm a member, who takes an interest in what is happening on and off the pitch but no more than that and no expert on some of the ins and outs behind the scenes, but just find it's frustrating people can't move on and stop the back biting. I guess some currently don't care that we will never have a strong supporters group if we can't move on.

Has the Trust got any intention of creating a rainy day fund for such an eventuality?
You would need a really rainy day to fund a High Court injunction.

As I said Dave it werenít a dig at you personally itís the truth what I have stated.

Personally we need a new group, separate from the WST, nobody has faith in them other than those who were inner circle.

Alienate your own customers does this unfortunately, and we lacked the right type of people to run a football club. Itís the truth, itís the same mistakes over and over that just pissed me off.

11 bids in 9 years and we heard about 1, too many of the same stories for it not to be true. I even emailed Lyndsey jones at one stage and in the wst minutes if you read them at the time of the takeover there were actually R&R and another the club were talking too.

As a fan of an American Football team in the States that got moved, just want to say, that you, the fans can force the team to not move, or be shuttered, is such a great thing to have. Even if there are difficulties you all have mentioned.

I am interested in reading your conversation here mainly because it makes me proud to know that a group of dedicated fans can stop a greedy owner. Even if the WST needs to be reformed, I for one wish you all nothing but the best to continue serving the interest of Wrexham AFC, and keep it true to your town and the fans it serves.

Iíd let sticky Vicky do a ping pong half time show, it would be more entertaining than the entire 9 years of fan ownership.

The refund that's ongoing is the Community Shares Issue which was a separate process.

If we end up doing really well and need a much bigger stadium that can no longer fit on the footprint of the Racecourse (I’m not sure the Council will allow much more expansion planning wise in that location anyway)…

The new covenants only allow a new stadium to be built within 2 miles of the Racecourse.

Question - does 2 miles encompass the Industrial Estate area? I think, realistically, this is the only area in and around Wrexham that we would get planning permission to build a big stadium in.

I don’t think it does, in which case I’m wondering if 2 miles is, realistically, not enough to make a move practicable
