Missed the last 4 matches injured. Likely out until around the new year.

I think Jordan Davies would be decent at left wing back.

obviously this

I agree on all of this , but for some reason , the getting up and down tends to be all in his own half ... not sure if that's a tactical direction he's given , but he tends to struggle to get forward

He was poor there when we first re-signed him from Brighton. Personally I think tackling is the weakest part of his game so I'd not want him at LWB on Saturday.

Itís why McCalinden is in the squad and shouldnít happen again as Barnett returns, McClean retires and hopefully Hosannah replaces McAkinden in the 22.

Jordan Davies doesnít have the engine to play there.
Dan Davies isnít good enough
O Connor doesnít have the engine either.

The only other option apart from MCAlinden is to switch to a back 4 and play OConnor as a standard left back . But that would be too extreme, McAlinden is just about OK, and Accrington themselves have significant injury issues.

Well yes I know, it was a rhetorical question. Macalinden could have been released but PP clearly likes him. So when called upon he gets a game we don't need to be shoehorning central midfielders into LWB.

I don't rate him much tbh but he always gives plenty of effort and he can cause some issues with his pace.

Parky is bound to play McAlinden in this emergency. I canít look at him since his Wembley appearance in May 2022. Itís all about opinions, but I see him as a modern day Chris Llewellyn. All effort, contributing very little!
Still, itís only one game.

I thought he said he was retiring from international duties.
