Can he play centerback instead of Hayden or Boyle ?

Can he play centre forward instead of Dalby ?

Can he play Left Wing back instead of JD/Macalinden?

because that's where we needed someone else today - not in Center mid

.... I really like Young, but he's not the answer to any of those problems and he's not better than the players who've played in centre mid and had gone 11 games undefeated prior ro today - he's not the answer

if we'd have had EOC ar right centre back & McClean or Meandy at LWB and perhaps Palmer instead of Dalby today , it would have been a very different game and you woulddn't be mentioning Young ....

Anyone who's saying that young would have made a difference today , when we had a RCB who couldn't control or pass the ball , a 6Ft 3 centre forward who wouldn't / couldn't compete with the centre back s he was up against and so may as well have not been on the field ... and 2 players playing LWB who just can't do the role ....... if you still think young would have made a difference with all that , I admire your loyalty to him , but perhaps that is just blinding you to the fact that he just isn't and wasn't the answer

Absolute nonsense ! ..... all he would offer today is corners - the he was in the side he was part of the reason we gave the ball away so often - far to prone to hitting long balls to nowhere ( much as Hayden did today sadly )

Has Lord Luke Young played since his masterclass in the 5-0 defeat at Stockport?

Yup - scored against Crewe, started the win against Port Vale, and came on as a sub in the wins against Salford, Notts County, and Mansfield.

By my calculations, he’s played 25minutes of league football since Stockport.

He’s not the answer I’m afraid.

Instead of who? The most obvious would be Jones, but I think he has been one of our best players recently.

Biggest disappointment for me today was davies at LWB… not so much because he was playing an unfamiliar position (in recent years anyway), more of his decision making and pondering on the ball. Taking 3,4,5 touches when he should be getting a cross in or shot off.

Big improvement needed of he’ll be back playing in the LOW.

lol, it’s quite comical even last week when we were 1-0 up and bossing the game against Gillingham I could hear some blokes talking saying ‘this game is crying out for Luke Young’ what does that even mean?
