We always struggled against that style in the NL and moving up a division has not changed that.

We can be quite a reactive team in terms of style of play, we should have imposed our own style but we resorted to long ball rubbish.

Have to call out a few players:

Hayden - not sure if he is rusty, but his touch at times was awful.
JD - not a LWB and looks a little limited in L2.
TOC - wanted to much time on the ball in the first half.
Boyle - bit of a blunt instrument, not the CB we needed.
Dalby - didn't have much to work with, but a head tennis game is not one he should play in.
Lee - still can't take a corner. Had one in the second half that looked like a 10 year old putting in the ball.
McAlinden - think an injured Hosannah would offer more, shouldn't see a L2 game again this season.

Just have to write this one off and start another unbeaten run from next week.
I'd agree with all of that ...... the one thing that baffles me is for someone who hits the ball so well on goal , how poor Lee's delivery is from corners and free kicks

I didn't think they were as bad as some are saying certainly did a job on us, their tactics are abysmal throwing themselves to the ground as often as they could, ref was shite.

A dodgy penalty and Okonko's mistake was the difference move on put it behind us, I'm not going to single anyone out for criticism as the team were very poor today.

Roll on the Morecambe game to put things right hopefully.

Just one of those games where you bury the film, take a deep breath, and carry on. We have a great team and we are more than capable of going up. Very tough game to swallow, more than a couple lousy performances, but we’re onto Morecambe next week with our actual LWBs back. Let’s not forget the form we’ve been in for the last several weeks. We got this.

To put it in perspective we should have been 2-0 up at half time.

Davies does not have the energy to play at wing back. Let’s simply not have two intentional left backs in future.
I prefer unintentional wing backs as well- would’ve been more dangerous today!

It's bizarre, but he keeps taking them.

I'd rather someone else take them (couldn't be any worse) and have Lee on the edge of the box looking to hit anything that comes back out.

In 77-78 we lost 8 league games but won the league.

Could be worse. We could support Chester. Who lost to their local rivals Nantwich in the FATrophy today….

Not much between the 2 teams. Thought we edged the first half but missed our chances then second half was a tale of 2 penalties and a howler.
Horrible grind to watch.

EXACTLY AS YOU SAY - Lee should be on the edge of the box waiting to pounce on the 1/2 clearance .

James Jones takes a much better corner ( seen him take them many times in the past) - Mullin takes a better corner - but obviously you want him in the box . McCleans are much better , but he wasn't there , TOC takes a much better corner Evans I think would be worth giving a go login forward if we don't have TOC or McClean on the pitch
