Exactly ... but that's what we need to find - or failing that give his squad place to a player who CAN actually play some position effectively in the side rather than being poor in several positions

There's no need to rubbish Accrington just because they beat us. On the day they certainly deserved it.
We did not play well at all and missing the LWB contributed to that. But kudos to the opposition for forcing us to play the game on their terms. We needed Parky to change things up and he couldn't today.
Having said all that, we could have, and indeed should have, scored 2 goals today in which case we would have got at least a draw IMHO.
But we didn't, so let's put a bad day behind us and move on. That has proven to be one of our strengths over the last 2 seasons

If you compare Mullin to Langstaff for example .

Langstaff has scored 13 in 18 in the league ( 14 in 20 in total )

Mullin has scored 4 in 11 ..... of those 11 , 5 of them he was nowhere near fit ( 6 in 12 in total)

If he stays fit now , Mullin will still have 25+ goals by the end of the season.

He's finding the level fine ... but the injury was a factor in a slow start

Mullin is getting in the right positions, just not finishing them. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

He was very poor today and for my liking needs to stop chucking himself at the ground every time someone breathes on him.

Personally think we need some pace in the front line, is that Armstrong or is he just another Dalby / Palmer type target man?

I think we are entitled to describe Stanley’s style and antics as belonging to the NL and very different from what we’ve usually seen in L2. It’s anti football and beyond dull. But it’s also fair to say that they punch well above their weight (literally at times) and are run on a shoestring compared to our riches. Today their approach succeeded largely due to us having a squad wide loss of form and lack of physicality on the day and some absences which had a bigger impact than anticipated. We weren’t helped by a poor ref but we were the authors of our own misfortune. I thought the substitutions were a bit baffling as well. No one including PP were good enough today but got to put it behind us and move on. We’re still very well placed.

I agree with this, he does need to stop some of the theatrics. The refs don't give him anything now because of it.

Agree with this.

Accrington were just a L2 Boreham Wood / Bromley / Woking. All teams we've struggled with in the past.

I expect a reaction next Saturday and we just need to keep in touch of top three, with reinforcements due in 8 weeks.
