Default Wrexham women v swansea

After a disappointing weekend for the men and wales, our women’s team has made a good start with a goal from Cara Jones.

Think we have the same ref as in Accrington. Defence is playing well.

Having watched all the games so far Swansea and Cardiff look a level above us, but I feel that gap is closing from the first game and will continue to narrow. I thought we played ok, but Swansea deserved winners .

Crowd of over 3,000 is very impressive. Better than most National League clubs and a few L2.

I think the ladies should not be beyond criticism, despite the gloss that Mark Griffiths’ and other’s commentaries have given. The brutal fact is many of of our players (and a few of Swansea’s to be fair) have a dreadful first touch and passing is seldom accurate. They have more time on the ball than they probably think they have. There’s way too much of the ball bouncing off players who aren’t able to control it. And passing is usually under or over hit. It makes for a pretty frustrating watch.

On a positive I do think our defence is pretty good especially Dorian who is a separate class. I’m sure Steve Dale knows what to work on. .

A crowd of 3800 plus I think it was, very good, fair play.

We missed Hughes up front, the ball was coming back all the while, especially second half when they totally controlled the game. Our keeper had an excellent game, may have done better with the first though. The centre of our defence was excellent and the defeat would have been much bigger without them. The lack of fresh legs during the last 20 minutes was strange. Apart from an enforced sub, we only made one other I think. Not knowing enough about those available I cannot say whether this was a mistake.

I agree from the games I have watched we need to strengthen in midfield and need another strong runner with Hughes. 2-1 defeat at Swansea far from a disgrace. I think they will finish just behind Cardiff and Swansea.

This may answer your question.

Tickets for this match are still on sale and are charged at £5 for adults, £3 for seniors and under-18s, while tickets for under-12s will be free of charge. All Swansea City 2023-24 men's season ticket holders can claim two free tickets for this fixture.

About two thirds of the crowd certainly looked over 12.
