Thanks Steve but certainly time to shake things up in that department and freshen things up with a further professional approach and someone we can hopefully hear. I never understood the fixation of announcing the attendance or man of the match during critical moments of certain games.

An announcers job in this day is to whip up the crowd, help build an atmosphere etc.

Totally agree, fans like to chat before KO, catching up socially and thoughts about todays game etc etc.

In the MRS centre you can’t hold a conversation as the sound system is so loud.

Bellowing out team News ages before KO when there’s less than a thousand in the stadium, and playing music etc.

I feel for the Tech End fans too though, other end of the scale in being unable to hear it at all.

Not sure we really need any of it anyway, just announced team news at 2.50pm, play Wxm Is The Name, and leave it at that.
