Default FGR (A) - T's & P's

Just a quick glance at the the EFL2 Table should be enough to say who the likely winner will be, tomorrow. But complacency often bites you on the arse. Hence we must go to nail 'em for all it's worth and win it for 90 minutes!

FGR's home form is poor, poor, poor. So anything other than a Wrexham win will be very disturbing, especially as some of those around us are likely to drop points. We also need to close the GD gap with Stockport County and Mansfield Town, so we also needs goals, goals, goals; and lots of them!

Presumably Howard will continue in goal. He is fine provided the ball comes to him; less so if he has to move across quickly. McNicholas is younger and more agile; but does PP fully trust him? Personally, I would give him his EFL debut, but suspect he'll be on the bench.

PP's biggest decision will be whether he disrupts the midfield to slot Evans into RCB or whether he promotes either Max Cleworth or Aaron James. They both played well on Tuesday and would do a good job. Our midfield is certainly better when George Evans is pulling the strings.

Up front, it will be Mullin with either Palmer or Dalby alongside. They all need to take the chances provided by the midfield and WBs.

Enjoy the veggie food and the climb up the hill. Hopefully the Red Army will have big, beamy smiles on their faces as we march towards Xmas.

FGR 1 WXM 5

Mullin 2, Cannon, Lee, Dalby

Anyone know why they’ve pulled their highest ticket sales of the season by some margin for this one? Must be flying high or protesting against the FA.

Win 2-1. They’ll score late on to make it interesting. 900 reds

Yeah must be one of those reasons because it's apparently a myth that attendances at every stadium we play at strangely hit near capacity when we arrive and everyone sells 1,200 at the Racecourse even when they mostly everage 300 everywhere else they go

I heard Newport sold out their allocation in 3 hours.lol.

No one really cares about us though

We need to up our away form and FGR is a good place to start - a comfortable 2-0 win.

A truly bizarre match day experience there but embrace the difference is my advice. Years ago we combined the match with the National Trust place Woodchester Park a mile or so away where the kids could run around whilst I sneaked off to the game. Walking along a single track country lane I'm thinking there's no way there's a ground here then suddenly there's a stadium in front of you. Its like walking from Chirk Castle into Chirk to watch AAA but with a stadium not much bigger than The Rock.

Watch out for the hills if you are less mobile. Nailsworth is a nice little place if Cotswoldy type places are your thing. I got picked up in town after the game last time out and I was glad I walked down that hill not up it.

I'm in the open terrace for this as I made a rookie error and didn't sign in before booking tickets. Gonna be absolutely shite on there, proper non-league.

No poll this match? Perhaps the forum's software couldn't handle the tidal crush of so many "Wrexham Wins!" votes.

If ever there were a time for McNicholas to get his EFL start, this is it. Regardless of who's in goal, we'll be getting the win. It'd be a shame not to boost the GD, too. Hopefully we'll all be delighted tomorrow.

Optimistic but not greedy: 3-0.
