An early goal would get rid of the gamesmanship we seem to encounter. I’d like to see Stockport’s stats, but they seem to get an early goal quite often. That takes out the ‘head injuries’, goal kicks that take an eternity, giving away free kicks in our half to spoil the flow of the game etc

this is a really good point ..... we seem to often be frustrated by teams gamesmanship and the refs allowing them to get away with it ... score early and I'm confident we can beat most sides in the division

True, but that’s a very rare example of us squandering an early lead. I would say there’s more instances of us falling foul of the ‘dark arts’.

Part of Harrogate was losing Arthur at HT.

True to a degree, albeit Howard’s only task was picking the ball out of the back of the net.

The key change at Harrogate was their manager changing formation at HT. He went 3 up front and they pressed our centre backs, who panicked and started hoofing it. From then on, it was backs to the wall, as it has been in many away games this year.

Mulls has always chased to the wings to keep the ball being recycled. He also scores from there. His first goal agains Boreham Wood in the last game of last season was by chasing a ball into the left channel then turning the defender before advancing on the box and scoring.
As far as tomorrow is concerned, at home, since New Year, they have drawn with Newport, Barrow and Doncaster and lost to Harrogate. Away they have drawn at Mansfield, Walsall and lost to Morecambe. They have scored in every game bare one of those and only ever lost by the odd goal. They are a horrible team to play and will be no walkover.
Good points BB about Mullin and Sutton.

Tomorrow will be tough for 90 minutes.

It was hard enough winning the home game.

We’ll probably know after the first 5 to 10 minutes how the game will pan out. If we see hoofball from our cbs in that time then expect a similar turgid performance to recent away games.

Gong for a nervy 1-1.
