Mike got up really well to head the second goal giving their keeper no hope, not that the keeper had much of a chance with the 1st either.

Hi Rae

Yes, the weather was windy & non stop rain all evening. The playing surface was greasy, which the ball skidded off constantly & some of the players did very good impressions of Bambi on Ice!

Andy Fleming's yellow card was a direct consequence of the conditions with a typical BSP referee not taking that into consideration. Flemo just slid straight through having clearly won the ball & got unfairly penalised as a result.

The second half saw 4/5 good scoring opportunities with the pick from Fleming who hit a dipping shot, from 25yards, on target, producing a full length finger tip save from their keeper - a belting bit of football

Overall a much better team effort & we were the better side.

However the midfielders & frontmen need to find the back of the net, whilst Deano finds a goalscoring striker! (Easier said than done)

Thanks again. Maybe we will keep this up and my trip over in January I will something worthwhile.

I thought the ref did ok, purely on the basis that he wasnt absolute utter sh*te like the rest.

Some of the decisions were mind boggling though. Like the Fleming booking where even from the ERS I could see that he took the ball. Clean.

Agree better than most of the others we've seen although thats not difficult....

Its a shame ref's are untouchable!

Fleming definitely won the ball but I'm not sure if he was booked for a foul or his reaction to it. He went nuts with the ref.
