I have read the write up on the meeting and the WST statement and the facts remain the same.

WST...
Do not have the finances to buy the club outright.
They will require a 'time purchase' agreement with Moss and Roberts (OK same as Harris) but there is no guarantee they will be able to purchase the club in the agreed time period.
Current share pledge is slightly over £200k (with £150k from 2 parties) so where will the
other £1.3m come from.
All the £400k currently in the bank for equity would be spent on running the club for the next 6 months (more or less). This leaves us potless.

If you have facts and figures and amounts required and where these amounts will come from then please enlighten me.

Other than that its just a pipe dream and words. The fact remains that WST would have to raise £300k a year for 5 years or £500k a year for 3 years to time purchase the club.
There are no FACTS to support this this can be done.
can we have some facts about funding & the future under Moss or Bickerton/Vaughan or Harris/Poole or Booth/ Pirelli ?
I'll settle for hope, professionalism, and people who care - care too much maybe!

You are talking to yourself on rp. Others have tried to no avail. You apparently have to "believe".

I understand Pagl's thoughts on this, and whereas I disagree,he does make valid points. However, sometimes you have to go with gut feel in any business that you want to make a success out of, and I believe that the Trust, given its very wide and growing business base is more than capable of delivering the required investment levels over whatever period necessary, in partnership not only with businesses but also with authority bodies already mentioned.

The key to this is not looking directly at the numbers, but at the potential.
Nothing at Wrexham FC is ever that clear cut.

I'm certain that WST stands ready to take the club on; but it has to become 'available' first.

I agree with the rest of your post. WST has enough money to start along a difficult road with the club and over time they have at least the same potential to make a success of it as any other bidder.

When you consider the time wasters and sharks which continually circle Wrexham FC I'd much rather put my faith in the only party not looking to make a fast buck.

Not at all. I for one welcome a range of thoughts. It's a good thing that people continue to challenge, and ask questions of the prevailing view.

I would say though, that these arguments have only strengthened my view that the Trust is the only viable future for this club; the business plan is in place and adds up, we know the board has gone a long way on possible funding deals for the stadium with the Uni and with government bodies, we know that the fans will run the shop and commercial side much better than the current owners and therefore make more money, we know that they are committed to the town - which will help foster trust among the business community and hopefully more revenue from sponsorship, we know that in community-owned clubs people are more likely to volunteer and so cutting down on staffing costs, we know the fans will make decisions in the long-term interest of the club, we know that money would always go back into the club and not into the pockets of others, and we know that if we were ever unhappy with those in charge, we could vote them out ... Wouldn't that have been nice under Hamilton or Moss?!

Debate and scrutiny is a good thing, but at the moment with every question raised by opponents of WST, the answers given simply strengthen the WSTs approach in my view.
