The consortiums that Lindsay keeps refering to do not exist. If you remember back in February 2011 I sent an SOS message out to the fans making them aware of the real danager that the club was about to run out of cash and therefore was there any fifty granders out there who were prepared to bank-roll the club until the end of the season. The figure quoted to me by Geoff Moss for £200k/£300k. Whilst there was a local businessman/politician who came forward with offers of help the WST Board and Stephanie Booth declined to engage [even though Colliers Park was being offered up as security]. So not a consortium [even if it was the WST had their chance to be part of it] more an SOS message to the fans. Incidentally Carol Clarke was meant to front the Daily Post SOS appeal [not me] but he was talked out of doing so by Pete Jones of the WST Board on the morning the appeal was to be made. Move on a few months and Colin Poole has been chased off the scene, the season-ticket receipts are about to run out, Geoff Moss is unwilling/unable to bankroll the club and the WST seem unwilling to assist in any meaningful way {my conversations with WST Board members were that the club is Geoff Moss' responsibility [factually right] and if he doesn't pay the wages etc then so be it.. There was no sale of the ground on the horizon so if my memory is right on the timing I asked Geoff Moss if there was a Plan B in case the WST were unwilling/unable to complete on the purchase of the club. At the time I had grave concerns as to whether the WST Board were actually just going through the motions of being seen to buy the club and as a lifelong fans I wasn't prepared to see the club die whilst the WST made their minds up, hence Plan B. Plan B entailed asking a few contacts would they be interested in stepping in at the eleventh hour, if the WST Board were to announce the unthinkable ie they could not recommend to it's membership the takeover of our club. Those individuals I have spoken with are also known to the WST Board and no doubt they have been contacted to see what financial assistance they may be willing to offer as part of the WST takeover. Apologies for the lengthy reply but I thought it right that you are made aware of the background as these so called consortiums were being formed, as otherwise you might come to the wrong conclusion that I was hell bent on derailing any WST bid. |

You're a passionate fan, of that I've no doubt, but..........when I see you post I actually pity you, whether it's the politicians belief of self importance or not I don't know. My veiw and one I believe held by many is that you've been used as a puppet by Moss, you have had a destabalising effect on the fanbase as a whole and are in complete denial about this. You're whole attitude is summed up in "Colin Poole has been chased off the scene" - that "chasing" did more for the good and survival of our club than any effort on your part Rant over............reply if you feel you need to - but I hope this is the last time I post anything about you so don't expect further response from myself |

My personal observations also concluded that Mr Wynn has been used by the powerful around these deals, and a little scrutiny of the people he trusts so dearly would go a long way towards rectifying the issues everyone has with his posts. To criticize someone like LJ, who I have never met, but admire greatly for his previous scrutiny of 'tyre kickers', seems not only daft and ill-judged, but exactly what Moss& co would want Mr Wynn to do. |

What has happened has happened. People can have their views on motivation, cause, effect etc.
Hopefully there is no further requirement for any plans other than the current plan A. Baiting Phil while it may appeal to some as a form of sport doesn't actually get us very far. This is not me protecting, defending Phil or anyone else for that matter - I am purely stating fact. Sometimes its good to get things off your chest - probably a good idea for you all to book a room and scream at each other for 2 hours then get over it, you'll feel much better for it. We need to get over it.

To say BV is "the most genuine" person on RP is absolute rubbish and an insult to the hundreds of other posters who are equally as genuine as him on here. Sorry to take this off topic but I felt the need to comment on such a ridiculous generalisation. |
