My first game was
Wrexham v Gillingham, 14 September 1991 - 11v11 match report

I cant remember the game, or any players really from that season. Can someone remind me?

Ooh, actually, Jon 'Animal' Bowden's last game and scored both goals. So I keep getting told.

We were great friends and after the game spent many social Sat.nights with other 1st teamers in (wait for it)The Pendine Hotel now a Care Home. Peter was a CF ,his speed was phenominal and he soon spotted by Derby County who signed him .Keith and Peter played for theStation 1st team I struggled for the 2nds Keith recommended Pete to the then manager Cliff Lloyd who signed him on before I believe, Stan Cullis, who regularly watched our matches on Wed.afternoons.Favourite managers-Ken Barnes,Brian Flynn,Den Smith.Early players-Georgie Jones,GeorgeEvans,Johnny Anderson,NormanSharp Gordon Bremner,Billy Tunnicliffe,Clive Colbridge.etc.etc.etc. I am lucky enough to have many many happy memories but have to say beating Boston Utd to remain in the Football League was the happiest.I,a grown man, cried with relief.Regrettably The lesson was totally ignored, and the rest is history.
A warm welcome Draig, SOMEONE WHO IS ACTUALLY OLDER THAN ME!!

Hi everyone finally registered, I'm feeling optimistic about next season then again I was at the start of last season to ! However I have been impressed with the way Mills has got straight down to business in the transfer market, he seems like a man with a plan. Although it's a shame to see some if the old guard go I think a clear out was overdue and the time had come for fresh faces

Hi.
I'm new to the site, and thought I would like to introduce Myself. But first I want to thank Rob for allowing Me to join the site.
My name is Jim Cole, I'm 66 years old, and I come from the East End of London. So I'm a true Cockney. I assume that seeing By My log on name, Orient, You can guess that I'm a Leyton Orient supporter. I first went to the Orient in 1959 with My Dad and Granddad, And I took My Son when He was 6 Years old in 1977. He was the mascot for the match against Bournmouth, which the Orient won 5-0. How times have changed. Bournmouth have just been promoted to the Premiership, and the Orient have just been relegated to the 2nd (4th) division.
My Wife and I have recently moved back to the UK after living in Turkey for 5 Years, and We now live in Oswestry, to enable Us to be close to Our family. We come to Wrexham every week for shopping, and each time We pass the Racecourse, I would say To My wife that I came to the ground many times with the Orient supporters when Wrexham were a league side, and would like to come and see a Conference game. I decided to come along for the Barnet Match because they are a London side, and they had an old Orient player in their team. I came as a neutral supporter, but I really enjoyed what I saw. I came back the following week for the Torquay match in the FA trophy, and I was hooked. I saw every home match for the rest of the season, I was able to sit in the same seat in the Mold Rd stand for every game, So I've now booked the seat for a season ticket. I think that Wrexham were probably victims of their own success. I remember when I came to the Barnet match, Wrexham were about 3 or 4 games behind the rest of the teams in the league, due to having good runs in both the FA cup and trophy, and if those games in hand had been converted to points, if the draws against the likes of Lincoln, Dover and Southport had been wins. then they might have got nearer to a play off place.
I really enjoyed the local derby game against Chester, but I must confess I did cower a bit into My seat when the Chester supporters started to chant at the Wrexham supporters, and all of the Welsh people around Me responded.
I've been reading with interest all of the comments that have been made regarding the players that have been released by the club, and I was a bit surprised that Neil Ashton had been released. I saw Him play a few games before He was injured, and I was impressed with Him. I've noticed that the new Manager has signed a couple of defenders. I've never seen them play, so I can't comment on them so I think it must be a case of trusting Mr Mills's judgement. I agree with the release of Andy Bishop, although I think He played better when Louis Moult was in the team. When Kevin Wilkin was the manager, he seemed to play either Moult or Bishop, and never both together. I was surprised that the club didn't try to sign Sam Finley from T.N.S, I thought He seemed to be improving in each game that He played. But I assume there was a transfer fee involved. I think the club might have missed out on a good prospect there.
When I bought My season ticket, I remarked to the Young Man in the ticket office that I must be the only Leyton Orient supporter with a Wrexham season ticket, but He said that there's another O's supporter with a ticket, and I would love to hear from You if You are reading this.
I think We are in for a good season next Year. I honestly believe that Grimsby and Wrexham will dominate the league, and I just hope that Wrexham can finish in the automatic promotion spot. I think the play offs can be really cruel. I was at Wembley last season for the division 1 play off final between Leyton Orient and Rotherham. The O's were 2-0 up at half time. Rotherham made it 2-2 and went to extra time, and then won on penalties.
I look forward to Your comments.
