Re: New RP'ers Introduce Yourselves...
I consider that a honour to be considered as a temporary honorary Welshman. I knew You Welsh lads are passionate about Your rugby, but to hear the noise You made in the Mold rd stand when the Chester supporters let off was scary.
I really enjoy coming to the racecourse, I've even downloaded the tune that's played before the teams come out, Yma O Hyd, (sorry if I've spelt it wrong) and I have it blaring out on My car radio on My way to Wrexham. |

Re: New RP'ers Introduce Yourselves...
I've been on RP for a short time now and have only just seen this thread.
Originally from Northwich I used to watch Vic's occasionally but had a ST for Everton. I then worked in Barrow for a time and took myself down to Holker Street on numerous occasions. Before I came to Wrexham I spent a few years in Chester and returned to watching the Trickies and Everton and for the first time in my life turning my back on the local non league side. Four years ago I moved to Wrexham, and headed down to the world famous Race Course, and have never looked back. At first I was a bit cautious of the English/Welsh rivalry, but have no concerns at all now. A few lifelong friends were surprised when I said I watch Wrexham, more so the fact because I travel to watch England home & away. My work colleagues (most who are Chester born) just "don't get it", how can an Englishman support a Welsh team? My response to them is simple: "You follow (insert BPL team on sky) but never watch your local club, and yet you question my loyalty". Its safe to say, that Wrexham & its people have made an impression, and one which has surprised me. Here's to the next 150 years and to gaining promotion out of this hell hole of a league. |

Re: New RP'ers Introduce Yourselves...
Hello. Im originally from Abergele and now live in Cardiff. I really enjoy reading most of the posts on RP but rarely contribute to be honest. First Wrexham game was v Sheffield Wednesday in 1977 with Jack Charlton in charge of Wednesday. Favourite players range from Graham Whittle to Karl Connolly. Current favourite player would have to be Louis Moult. Try to get to as many games as possible and enjoy meeting up with the South Wales Reds on a few trips per season. Here's to a successful season
