Re: New (and old) RP'ers Introduce Yourselves...
Hi, I’m new to following Wrexham and have bought a season ticket for myself and my fourteen year old Grandson. I’m really looking forward to watching live football again and getting behind the club and for it to gradually become really important to me, like it is for you all. I can’t wait to get to know the team, it’s’ strengths and weaknesses and to savouring the match atmosphere, highs and lows. I’ve joined this forum so I can learn more quickly.

After too many years of frustration there is now a very positive buzz around the club since R&R picked Wrexham from their atlas of the UK. A ‘weird’ but inspired choice, IMHO; let’s hope we get it right PDQ! You and your grandson are hopefully in for a treat. But, be warned: the Wrexham-way is never usually straightforward, so be patient and excited - if that’s possible! Enjoy the ride.

Re: New (and old) RP'ers Introduce Yourselves...
been a Wrexham fan since the late sixties seen our best team ever (so far) and the worst (hopefully nothing in the future can be so bad) for the first time i am a season ticket holder as are my sons and grandchildren, from reading posts here in RP it is clear many others are ensuring that their families can enjoy this new beginning and it warms me inside, to see the growing amount of children now sporting their Wrexham shirts is so heart warming, for me this is a chance to regain my lost youth, this new adventure is like a time machine allowing me to relive the seventies again but this time surrounded by my family and the feeling is bloody wonderful, cant wait

Re: New (and old) RP'ers Introduce Yourselves...
Was involved with the club from a young age coming through the awfully named Centre of Excellence. Was a ballboy from around 98 to 2005. Was very kindly told by Joey Jones I wouldn't make it as I didn't have a left foot (still haven't!).
Avidly followed the club for a few years and life got in the way around 2011 with uni, playing on Saturdays, work and having a young family. Been to between 30 and 50% of games in the last 5 years and was finally in a position to get my first season ticket this year (good timing!). I've been a member on here since 2012 but fall into the category of reader and occasional contributor. I love the passion of the fans on here and the level of content and users for a non league side is phenomenal. What a time to be a fan! |

Re: New (and old) RP'ers Introduce Yourselves...
Hi, I have been reading all the posts on here for a while and have now been able to join. I used to live in llandyrnog and went with my Dad in the 70,s to every home game and all the classic FA cup games home and away. I have now moved to Llangrannog in Ceredigion and have been a few times with my son. We are both very excited about the new season and the opportunities that that the new owners have brought to the club. In terms of favourite player theres so many to choose from but i would go for Joey Jones, an absolute warrior !, favourite moment was West ham away in the FA Cup, but, i think the best is yet to come !....

Re: New (and old) RP'ers Introduce Yourselves...
Evening all,
As per robs message. I have been a fan of Wrexham FC since 1997 where the season we missed out in the playoffs remember Fulham being in the league that season and unsure if we missed out to them or it was someone else . But I remember our game where we were that day and it was Southend away and years later that team would come back in 2005 in the LDV final - great day for all Fave player at present - Jordan Davies Fave player of all time - Karl Connolly Fan since - 1997 Best moment - split between LDV Final and FA trophy |
