"He looks a right ming"

Now if you are an avid soap-watcher, like myself, you will immediately recognise this immortal line, uttered on one of the best soaps on TV at the moment. Well, they’re are all good, but this one has now developed a "special" link with the famous WFC. Have you guessed yet?

Well if you read the programme from the Walsall match (10 Oct) you may remember reading a snippet about a newcomer to Brookside - Mr Moore. Now, for those of you who missed this, Mr Moore is going to be a huge Wrexham fan, thus bringing this well-known club to the attention of the great soap-viewing public!

I watched on Tuesday night with bated breath - what would Mr Moore be like, whose house would he move into, how would he fit into the thick of things in Brookside? And, more importantly, how would his passion for Wrexham manifest itself?

To be honest, I’m still in the dark about this last question, his football tendencies have not shown themselves yet, but I’m sure it won’t be too long before they do, after all Brookside spent over £100 on goodies from the club shop, so we’re bound to get wind of it in some form or another.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, Mr Moore moved in to share with Sinbad and Tinhead. When I first saw him I was very disappointed - I expected some young hunky lad, fit and firm, wearing red and white and looking good. Mr Moore is fat, rides a moped and wears thick specs!! A typical Wrexham fan? Who knows? Friday’s episode made Mr Moore appear even more unusual and sinister, he dragged a huge trunk up to his room, and then asked for an extension lead so he could use his circular saw!!! Tinhead thinks he has a dead body he is about to cut up - does this sound like your typical Robins fan? No, not to me either! I suppose we’ll have to wait and see. If anything exciting does happen, I’ll let you know.

"He looks a right ming" certainly seems to sum up Mr Moore so far. If you didn’t know, it was Tinhead who uttered these words of wisdom, referring to Mr Moore on his moped. And from what I have seen so far, I couldn’t agree more (or is that Moore?)
