Team News

Oldham Athletic

Wrexham

Injuries: Striking duo David Eyres and Alan Smart are both missing after picking up injuries in the midweek win over Swindon. Eyres went over on his ankle and Smart had to be stretchered off after a clash of heads. Darren Sheridan is still missing with ankle ligaments damage. Injuries: Kevin Sharp is still missing with a calf strain and Robin Gibson is out with damaged ankle ligaments.
Suspensions: None. Suspensions: None.
Squad (18): McNiven, Balmer, Duxbury, Rickers, J Sheridan, Tipton, Eyre, Appleby, Hardy, Sugden, Corazzin, Holden, Eyres, Murray, Beharall, Armstrong, Baudet, Rachubka. Squad (17): Rogers, Whitley, Holmes, Roberts, Carey, Ferguson, Phillips, Thomas, Sam, Morrell, Trundle, Walsh, Lawrence, Chalk, Blackwood, Edwards, Faulconbridge.
Other News: With both David Eyres and Alan Smart out it gives opportunities for the other strikers in the squad. John Eyre scored twice in midweek and is favourite to start with the other place going to Matthew Tipton, Ryan Sugden, or Carlo Corrazzin, who scored four in the corresponding fixture last season. Apart from the changes up front, Mick Wadsworth is likely to leave the rest of the team alone and that will mean that recent signing Matty Appleby will still have to settle for a place on the bench. Other News: Denis Smith will leave the back four unchanged but there are likely to be changes in midfield and attack following good displays in the Premier Cup any from the reserves during the week. Kristian Rogers will continue in goal with Jim Whitley, Shaun Holmes, Steve Roberts and Brian Carey in defence. The midfield trio of Darren Ferguson, Steve Thomas and Waynne Phillips should remain unchanged but Lee Trundle looks set to replace Michael Blackwood in a three man attack along with Hector Sam or Andy Morrell.
